June 6, 2012 - A trip to Bohicket...

Headed down to Bohicket Marina at St. John's/Seabrook Island for the 2nd in the series of Governor's Cup Billfish Tournaments aboard the Blue Sky. A couple of pics below; no fishing charters this time, just ferrying. Conditions were good for the trip - though a bit overcast at the beginning, seas outside were in the 2-3' range with just a bit of north wind. We wound up getting a great sunset!

Fishing in the Governors Cup Billfish Tourny @Georgetown Landing Marina

Spent the end of this week fishing aboard the Blue Sky with owner Greg Smith, Captain Steve Crammer, and our Tournament crew. This is the first in the series of Tournaments, and though we didn't make it into the money, we had a good showing and worked well together as a team. The weather prediction was that Saturday would be a blow-out, so we fished on Thursday and Friday, catching & releasing both a Blue and a White Marlin on Friday.

This coming week we'll be getting a lot of unusual weather from being under the edge of Tropical Storm Beryl, so it will be interesting to see how that affects the fishing!

Pictures from all the action at the Governors Cup can be seen at the GLM Facebook page.
